About Hayley C.
“As a couple and family therapist, I use my optimistic and hopeful attitude to help my couple clients find ways to reconnect amidst the conflicts and stressors that weigh them down. I love LOVE and I am passionate about helping my clients to find that “spark” in their relationship, and refill their “love tank”. My studies and research have led me to understand the ways in which humans limit love to romance- disregarding all the other wonderful ways love can enrich their life. I never tire from exploring the many dimensions and layers of love. I work with couples at all stages of their love journey: navigating expectations in dating, premarital counseling/newlyweds, couples growing their families, balancing their role as parents & managers of the household, and empty nesters who are trying to design their next chapter together.
My clients say they appreciate that I take the time to get to know them and their personal experiences with an open mind, empathetic heart, and refreshing perspective. I help my new clients work through their concerns, feelings of shame, and misconceptions about therapy so that they are able to engage in the therapy experience with confidence and excitement about the future changes they plan to make. I believe change happens when we are able to show up as authentically as possible, and I am honored to help my clients take those next steps toward healing and relational harmony.
In addition to my work with couples, I love working with families navigating boundaries and expectations. Helping youth/teens and their parents find more meaningful and harmonious connections in new stages of independence that come with pre-adulthood. I also love working with young adults & adults with disabilities who are working toward independent living skills. My favorite thing about being a therapist is taking different therapeutic approaches and adding a creative twist to bring playfulness into the therapeutic process.
I received my Bachelor or Arts in Psychology from Rochester College in Michigan and my Masters of Arts in Couple and Family Therapy from Adler University in Chicago. People describe me as empathetic, emotionally intelligent, and energetic; and I desire to live a life of creativity, adventure, and excitement. In my free time, I enjoy candle making, creating content for social media, and spending quality time with family and friends. Quality music, food, and self care all fill my love tank.”
